Kernilis [kɛʁnilis] is a commune in the department of Finistère, in the Brittany region of France.
Kernilis is located in the Pays de Léon about ten kilometers west of Lesneven. The communal territory forms a quadrilateral shape close to a square, bounded to the south by the valley of the Aber Wrac'h, which is a small coastal river at this point. Its northern boundary coincides with the route of the D 32, an old Roman road. The village of Kernilis is situated at an altitude of 60 meters, with altitudes within the communal territory ranging from 78 meters in the northeast part, near Croas-ar-Justiçou, to 6 meters in the southern corner, including the northern part and Kerlouron, Carman, Kergouesnou, and Le Moguer in the southern part of the communal territory.
