The village is located at the eastern end of the Vosges department, bordering Alsace and more specifically the municipality of Saales. It is crossed by a tributary of the Rabodeau, the Grandrupt stream, which originates in the neighboring municipality of Saint-Stail. Apart from the downstream part of the valley and the D 45 that traverses it between Châtas and Le Vermont, access is rather inconvenient due to the terrain, particularly the Haut de Belfays to the south, which peaks at 807 meters.
