The Chateau de la Caze is a Renaissance style castle located in the gorges of the Tarn in Lozere. It is now used as a hotel. Its construction dates from the fifteenth century and was originally a fortified manor house. You can not visit the castle or the garden unless you are a guest of the hotel.
The legend tells that the owner Soubeyrane had eight daughters, all living in the castle. They had so much beauty that they attracted all the maidens in the castle of the region.
The inside of the castle is still in style. A real treat to stay here. It was built as a gift of an uncle to his niece.
The castle has a marvelous little chapel inside.
