The hospital Hôpital Hôtel Dieu is the oldest hospital in Paris and dates back to 660 AD.
In the past, the hospital stood in the place where the statue of Charlemagne is now located, in front of Notre Dame. Due to the modification and expansion of the bridge over the Seine, the hospital had to be moved.
