The Col du Béal is a mountain pass at an altitude of 1390 meters in the Monts du Forez, in the French Massif Central. The pass is located north of the Pierre-sur-Haute and is the highest asphalted mountain pass that runs over the Monts du Forez. The east side of the pass is in the department of the Loire; the western side is in the department of Puy-de-Dôme. The col is located in the middle of the Hautes Chaumes, protected as Natura 2000: vast, open plateaus that are mainly covered with heathland.
