Housed in a completely renovated 19th-century mansion, the Museum of Alexandre Dumas recounts the life and work of the three Dumas: the General Dumas, born in 1762 in Santo Domingo; his son Alexandre Dumas, the illustrious author of the Three Musketeers, born at Villers-Cotterêts on 24 July 1802 and his grandson Alexandre, the author of The Lady with the Camellias, born in Paris in 1824. In the museum you will find numerous original documents, letters, manuscripts, autographs, original editions. Through an audiovisual document, the audience is introduced to the fascinating and passionate life of the Dumas family.
