Opened in 1961, the Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris (MaM) showcases contemporary art in a variety of forms: painting, sculpture, installations, photography and video. With over 15,000 works representing the major currents of the 20th century, it exhibits masterpieces by Picasso, Gris, Matisse, Giacometti, Braque and Klein. In addition to the permanent collections, temporary exhibitions are held on a regular basis. A cafeteria and bookshop complete the visitor experience.
