A lake with clear water.
Lake Blanc owes its name to the crystalline color of the sand at its bottom. Far from the town of Orbey, at an altitude of 1055 m, it is located in a natural glacial cirque, set amidst rocks and pines. Numerous outdoor activities are offered. The Vosges Club has made available 600 km of marked hiking trails, along with 250 km of mountain biking paths, orienteering courses, and an adventure park. In winter, it is also a winter sports resort classified by Ski France, and the conditions for alpine skiing are optimal.
The legend of Lake Blanc:
The lake is dominated by a rock shaped like a fortress, called "Château Hans." The legend tells that a cruel lord once lived in the castle that jutted out from the rock, and he terrorized the population. Today, "Château Hans" is primarily a beautiful viewpoint to admire Lake Blanc.
