It concerns a cape, actually a point, in the Bay of Somme, the Pointe du Hourdel, from where the coast bends in a southwest direction. On the cape stands the Le Hourdel Lighthouse.
The hamlet has a fishing port and a marina. There are not many fishing boats due to the siltation of this part of the bay.
