The church of Saint-Pierre is one of the remains of the former Notre-Dame abbey against which it was attached. It is said that it was the place of worship reserved for men in an abbey mainly made up of women.
This small church now serves as a mausoleum for the vicitimes of deportations during the Second World War, and contains within it a funeral urn containing ashes taken from Auschwitz.
St-Pierre is one of the symbols of the friendship that now binds the city of Soissons with two German cities.
