Description

An essential heritage of the city of Laon, and yet unknown to the general public, part of the underground passages of the old town has been open to visitors since July 2004. This circuit was built under the old citadel.
These guided tours take place all year round, and allow you to go back through the history of Laon by surveying its basements, from their economic exploitation from the High Middle Ages to their military occupation from the sixteenth to the twentieth centuries.

Various appointments are proposed according to the seasonality on weekends (these visits becoming daily in July and August), for a duration of 1h30 at a single rate, their departure being at the Tourist Office of Laon.
