At the Port Royal of Gravelines, there is an exhibition dedicated entirely to Jean Bart: as a tribute to one of the most famous sailors during the time of the Sun King, you will find a reconstruction of the largest first-rate ship of the 17th century (84 cannons, 57m long), a ship for which the title ‘maritime cathedral’ would not be out of place.
