Watermill
The mill of Sars Poteries, built or rebuilt in 1780, ground grain between its millstones until 1963. All original parts are still there: drive wheel, disc runs, drive, pulleys, millstones, belt pulley, gear... They are solely powered by the hydraulic turbine installed in 1958 to replace the overshot wheel. The Sars-Poteris mill is an exceptional example of industrial archaeology. Tools and objects from daily life illustrate the lives of the generations of millers who followed each other here... along the female line. The last miller will allow you to taste the passion and emotion for the trade during your visit.
