Pexiora is a municipality with 1,230 inhabitants in the west of the Aude department in the southern French region of Occitanie. The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Carcassonne and the Canton of La Piège au Razès. The inhabitants are called Pexioranais. Pexiora is located about 25 kilometers west-northwest of Carcassonne. At the northern edge of the municipality is the Canal du Midi. Pexiora is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Saint-Martin-Lalande to the northwest and north, Lasbordes to the north, Villepinte to the northeast and east, Villasavary to the south, and Laurabuc to the southwest and west.
