Domvallier is a French commune located in the Vosges department, in the Grand Est region. Away from the main roads, the village is partially situated on the slope of Bulgnéville. Between the high plateau of the village and the bottom of the hill, the elevation difference is 46 meters. The very hilly landscape allows for the juxtaposition of different ecological units: orchards, vineyards, forests, and meadows. The majority of the land consists of compact and heavy marls, favoring fruitful wheat harvests. Although this crop has long been predominant, the village is now essentially surrounded by vast meadows. It is a linear village made up of farms dating from the 18th century. The traditional building style is still very visible there, with stone paving, dry stone walls, and troughs providing an example of a typical village in the region.
