Onlay is a French commune with 154 inhabitants in the Nièvre department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. It belongs to the Château-Chinon arrondissement and the Château-Chinon canton. The residents are called Onlayens. Onlay is located about sixty kilometers east-southeast of Nevers in the Morvan. It is surrounded by the neighboring communes of Saint-Léger-de-Fougeret to the north and east, Achun to the north and northeast, Villapourçon to the east and southeast, Ougny to the southeast, Préporché to the south and southwest, and Noulins-Engilbert to the west and northwest.
