Lumbin is a French commune located in the Isère department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. The commune is situated twenty-two kilometers northeast of Grenoble and thirty-five kilometers from Chambéry, on the right bank of the Isère, in the heart of the Grésivaudan valley. Crossed by National Road 90, which connects the two towns, the territory is bordered to the northeast by the cliffs of the Chartreuse massif and to the west by the Isère.
