On December 31, 2015, it merged with its neighbor Dionay to create the new commune named Saint Antoine l'Abbaye. In 2017, Dionay took the status of delegated commune of Saint Antoine l'Abbaye, and the former commune Saint-Antoine-l'Abbaye lost all legal existence.
