Montlouis-sur-Loire , literally Montlouis on Loire) is a commune in the Indre-et-Loire department in central France.Since 1987, the city hosts the month of September Jazz Festival in Touraine. In 2010, more than 20,000 people, 5 over a period of 10 days. To organize this event, an association was created in 1990 so that the festival can take its autonomy vis-à-vis the municipality. Today, about 200 volunteers involved in the organization.
