Boulogne-sur-Helpe is a French commune located in the Nord department, in the Hauts-de-France region.
Boulogne-sur-Helpe is situated in the southeast of the Nord department, right in the heart of the Avesnois Regional Natural Park. The Avesnois is known for its meadows, hedgerows, and slightly hilly terrain in its southeastern part, referred to as the "little Switzerland of the North." The commune is traversed by the Helpe Mineure, a tributary of the Sambre, and is fed by several streams: Ruisseau De Chevireuil, Ruisseau Des Aulnes Brûlées, Ruisseau Des Haveries, Ruisseau Du Moulin, Ruisseau Griselle, Ruisseau Basses Aunes.
