*Aerial view of the Transatlantic Maritime Station of Cherbourg.*
The French dock on the left has been sabotaged, and an anti-submarine net can be seen folded.
On the right, the sunken ship perpendicular to the Old Arsenal dock is the cargo ship Le Normand, scuttled by the Germans. It will serve as a unloading dock and will not be scrapped until 1946. In the foreground, two bunkers, and on the right, Napoleon beach, the Commercial harbor, and the Commercial Basin.
Between them, the swing bridge and in the background, the city of Cherbourg.
