The President Jacques Chirac Museum houses the 5,000 diplomatic gifts presented to the President between 1995 and 2007. Jacques Chirac in turn donated these gifts to the Corrèze Departmental Council. 1,000 of them are on display in the heart of the Visitor Reserve.
In addition to this initial function, there is now a desire to show visitors what makes the President of the Fifth Republic who he is, and who he is as a person. This transformation began in 2023 with the reconstruction of the ‘Salon Doré’, the Presidents' office at the Elysée Palace, and continues today with the “Presidential Gallery”, where personal objects and 40 diplomatic gifts given to the 8 Presidents, from Charles de Gaulle to Emmanuel Macron, are on display.
Temporary exhibitions, always new, are also on show.
