Louis Majorelle, cabinetmaker, ironworker, industrialist and leading artist of the Ecole de Nancy, was the first to have an Art Nouveau villa built by Parisian architect Henri Sauvage. This house is a veritable catalog of the architectural vocabulary of the Ecole de Nancy! A must-see!
After extensive renovation work, the Villa Majorelle reopened its doors in February 2020. The meticulous restoration of the known original decors and furnishings of the reception rooms and bedrooms invites visitors on a journey back in time and into the artist?s family intimacy.
