The Bayssellance refuge is a mountain refuge located at an altitude of 2,651 m between the valleys of Gavarnie and Ossoue, administratively dependent on the commune of Gavarnie-Gèdre in the Hautes-Pyrénées department in the Occitanie region.Its name comes from Adrien Bayssellance, mayor of Bordeaux and Pyreneanist, president of the Bordeaux section of the French Alpine Club in 1878, who took the initiative to build it in 1899.
