The Mont des Avaloirs, at 416 meters high, is the highest point of the Armorican Massif and the Greater West. It is located in the department of Mayenne, on the border of the Orne department, in Pré-en-Pail, at the heart of the Multonne forest. It is the main summit of the long line of hills in Normandy and has the appearance of a plateau of heathlands and meager meadows. The site has been part of the Mont des Avaloirs regional nature reserve since September 25, 2020.
