The Château de Chailly-sur-Armançon is located in the municipality of Chailly-sur-Armançon, in the Côte-d'Or department. The château has been listed as a historic monument since June 18, 1930. The Château de Chailly-sur-Armançon was, in the 12th century, a simple "strong house." In the early 15th century, Jean, Lord of Loges, transformed it into a true fortress with four towers and a drawbridge. His grandson Hugues converted it into a Renaissance residence, a style that the château has retained. The Lenet, Brunet, and du Tillet families succeeded one another there. Its layout is inspired by the ducal palace of Nevers.
