The village of Gruyères, hidden in the hollow of a romantic wild valley, is made up of old and pretty rural houses and its small medieval castle dating from the 14th-19th centuries. It is said to have replaced a hunting residence, built by the Count of Chiny around the year 1000. Private domain visible only from the outside.
