Il villaggio di Gruyères, nascosto nella conca di una romantica valle selvaggia, è composto da antiche e graziose case rurali e dal suo piccolo castello medievale risalente al XIV-XIX secolo. Avrebbe sostituito una residenza di caccia costruita dal conte di Chiny intorno all'anno 1000. Tenuta privata visibile solo dall'esterno.
