The Lighthouse of Le Touquet is a lighthouse in the town of Le Touquet-Paris-Plage, which belongs to the department of Pas-de-Calais. This lighthouse marks the mouth of the Canche.
The mouth of the Canche was notorious for the many shipwrecks. In 1801, two light sources were installed that were fueled by rapeseed oil. The mouth remained dangerous, and therefore, in 1852, two lighthouses were built. However, these were destroyed by the German occupiers in 1944. In September 1945, three projectors were installed in the bell tower of the town hall as a temporary lighthouse.
