The monastery of San Quentin de Galhac, generally known as Galhac Monastery, is a former Benedictine abbey located in Galhac. Its remains are listed as a historical monument. It was a religious establishment in Languedoc, located in the Albigens, founded by Pepin I of Aquitaine, and attached to the abbey of Fijac. In the tenth century it took the name of monastery of San Miguel de Galhac, and in 972 it was endowed by Ramon de Tolosa y de Albi who is considered its true founder. It then came under the control of Chaise-Dieu Abbey, which reformed it and remained attached until the sixteenth century, when it was secularized. The population of Gaillac already existed in the seventh century.
