The Oedenburg is the ruin of a hilltop castle located a few hundred meters west of the Hohkönigsburg in the Alsatian Orschwiller, and together with it forms a group of castles.
As an annex of the Hohkönigsburg, it is likely to have been built as a simple tower castle in the 12th century. A document from 1174 mentions two towers on the Staufenberg. During the time of the interregnum, it was expanded around 1267 by the Lords of Rathsamhausen. In 1398, it is mentioned as a part of the purg at Kungesperc and already in 1417 referred to as the abandoned castle at Kunsberg.
