The legendary Rocher de Dabo rises from the immense Vosges forest at an altitude of 664m. A Celtic place of worship, the Rocher was topped by a medieval castle destroyed in 1690 on the orders of Louis XIV. Today's chapel is dedicated to Pope Leo IX, a native of the region. The Rocher de Dabo offers a panoramic view of unspoilt nature. The Rocher can be seen all year round, but access to the platform is restricted in winter.
Access to the platform and chapel is subject to a charge from April to October.
