The Musée Carnavalet, in the Marais district, traces the history of Paris from its earliest days. Founded in 1880, it is housed in two private mansions dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. Discover archaeological treasures, medieval relics, objects from the French Revolution, works of art and furniture, presented in rooms recreating the atmosphere of Parisian homes from the 15th to the 19th centuries. Don't forget the orangery, renovated in 2000, and the temporary exhibitions for a fascinating journey through the history of Paris!
