At Beaurevoir, long occupied by the Germans because it was east of the Hindenburg Line, the 2nd Australian Division led an attack on 3 October 1918. Two days later it was taken on 5 October by the 25th Division. Thus the British cemetery at Beaurevoir had 290 soldiers (46 of whom were unknown).
A large majority of the soldiers who lie there died during the assault on the town in early October 1918.
There are also special memorials for four soldiers believed to be buried there.
After the armistice, 70 graves from the German extension of the communal cemetery were transferred there.
