The extension of the Jeancourt communal cemetery brings together a total of 660 soldiers. This makes it one of the most important cemeteries in the Pays du Vermandois. Of these men, 168 are of German nationality. The 492 others (including 207 unknown soldiers) are Commonwealth nationals, including 371 British (including 191 unknown), 114 Australians (including 16 unknown) and 6 Canadians.
The presence of German soldiers can be explained by the use of this land alternately by German and British Empire troops, but also by the presence of a German hospital in the village.
The soldiers buried in this cemetery were buried in 1917 and 1918.
