The first bridge dates from 1811 but could not be put into use until 1825. The ferry remained in service until 1849. Then the last ferryman stops
Around the years 1908-1909, on the occasion of the renovation of the Valvins Bridge, the tramway line from Fontainebleau Valvins was extended to VULAINES-Samoreau
The bridge was rebuilt in wood in 1940, but in August 1944 the Germans feared the advance by the Allies and caused the bridge to jump.
The men of Patton's build a bridge made of rubber boats, which connects the other shore at the level of the beach in Samoreau. With a lot of resistance and fierce fighting, they manage to gain a foothold on the other side of the river at Samoreau.
