The waterfalls in the Hérisson valley are among the most beautiful waterfalls in the Jura massif. The Hérisson "hérisson means hedgehog" springs at an altitude of 805 m, makes its way through the Doucier plateau, and then descends 280 m over a distance of 3 km. As a result, there is a series of waterfalls and water basins that can only be reached on foot. One of those waterfalls is the 65 m high Cascade de l'Eventail (Fan Waterfall). The Belvédère de l'Eventail, accessible from the D39, offers a particularly beautiful view of the Cascade de l'Eventail, especially in the afternoon, thanks to the sunlight. This is a great solution for motorcyclists who, due to their riding gear, are not keen on a long walk but still want to see one of the waterfalls.
