The village of Tavers was built on a hillside once famous for its wines. It has many hidden treasures, as well as numerous ancient remains. Water plays a central role in this village, which is crossed by the Lien stream.
Take a stroll along the streets lined with old houses with elaborate door and window lintels, or visit the many mills and wash-houses in Tavers. Don't miss a visit to the Eaux Bleues and Sables d'Or des Fontenils, small natural wonders nestling in the greenery. Another treasure is the chapel of Ver and its fountain of Saint-Antoine, built at the very beginning of the 16th century in the grounds of the manor of Ver, a place of pilgrimage.
