Discover the citadel of Montmédy through the circuit of the ramparts and its museums. Duration of the visit: 2 hours.

The circuit of the ramparts takes you to the heights of the citadel with a panoramic view of the surroundings. It takes you into the casemates and underground passages and makes you discover the life of the soldiers of the past.

Jules Bastien-Lepage Museum : The work has allowed the museum to be brought up to standard and to be presented in a new way. Works purchased over the last ten years and never exhibited have been taken out of storage (mainly drawings). In addition, deposits from the Musée Lorrain in Nancy and the Musée Rodin in Paris complete the collection. The museum is made up of three different areas
- a general introduction to the artist's life and work
- an iconographic cabinet that allows drawings and fragile objects to be exhibited
- a room of paintings
An interactive terminal reveals the diversity of the painter's creations by presenting his major paintings, most of which are kept abroad.

Museum of fortification: its purpose is to make known the richness, diversity and interest of the Meuse heritage in the field of military architecture, from its origins to the end of the 18th century: models of defensive works, old weapons, aerial views of fortified sites in the Meuse, etc..
