On the edge of the Champs-Élysées stands one of the capital's most emblematic monuments: the Grand Palais. Recognisable by its large glass dome, the building created for the 1900 Universal Exhibition is impressive for its architecture and its volumes. This giant of stone, glass and steel houses three areas: the Nave, the Galeries nationales and the Palais de la Découverte. Since its opening, the building has hosted many cultural events: fairs, fashion shows, exhibitions, concerts, etc.
