Château de Villemorien

Château de Villemorien, a Monument Historique, is located on the edge of the Côte des Bar Champagne vineyards, near Bar-sur-Seine. Set in 13 hectares of magnificent walled parkland, including a courtyard of honor laid out as a formal garden, woods and vast lawns, its many characterful salons, comfortable rooms and modern facilities make it the ideal place for a holiday with family or friends. It offers an exceptional setting for discovering the art of living and the riches of the region in a unique and original way.

Château de Villemorien in its current form was built between the 17th and 18th centuries. During the French Revolution, it was home to Hubert Robert, the famous 18th-century landscape painter, who decorated one of the salons in the Château de Villemorien, known as the "Sanctuaire de la Folie", a listed historic monument. He also laid out gardens with "fabriques" in the château grounds, which have now disappeared.
