Lake Sewen is a peat bog lake located in the Haut-Rhin in the commune of Sewen, very close to the Ballon d'Alsace. It is the only glacial lake in Alsace and has been classified as a major national site since 1982. The bog is a protected area with a very marshy bottom. It is home to a population of European beavers, a protected species in France.
