A Louis XIII-style château built by Jean-Jérôme Molé from 1673, it comprises a main building and quadrangular pavilions framing each of the facades. Two older chalk pavilions stand at the corners of the courtyard, bathed in water from the moat.
A century after its construction, it was sold to the ancestor of the current owners, and the Bonamy de Villemereuil family has occupied the premises ever since. The overall composition and original purpose of the building have been minimally altered, and the interior layout is in keeping with the work of its builders.
Listed as a Historic Monument since October 1971, it is privately owned. Open to the public during the European Heritage Days.
