The Thouzon cave, also known as the Fairy cave, is located in the commune of Thor, in Vaucluse, at the foot of the eponymous hill. It is overlooked by the Thouzon castle. It is the only natural cave developed for tourism in the Vaucluse department. The cavity, which extends over 230 meters in length and 4 meters in width, features remarkable formations: stalactites, stalagmites, draperies, pools, cave pearls. It has some geological shapes: balance chimneys, scree cones, sealed joints, shafts, meanders, flint nodules. The temperature of the cave is 13 °C all year round. Its humidity level is 98%. You can also spot ancient remains of fossilized bats.
