Zuydcoote Battery is a coastal fort in the commune of Leffrinkhoeke in northern France. It is located in the dunes on the North Sea coast and was built at the end of the 19th century.
After the end of the Franco-Prussian War of 1870-1871, it was decided to build a series of fortifications along the French border. The French general Séré de Rivières took care of the main design and between 1875 and 1885 196 forts, 58 small works and 278 batteries were built.
