The Brière Regional Nature Park extends over the marshes of Brière, northwest of the mouth of the Loire, in Loire-Atlantique (Pays de la Loire region) and comprises 21 municipalities:

With its 5,800 hectares, this regional nature park is currently the second smallest nature park in France, after Scarpe-Escaut.

Grande Brière was recognized as a Ramsar site on 1 February 19952.
