This staircase was inserted between two buildings in the middle of the 16th century within the Hôtel de Houdreville. Its restoration in 2014 allowed it to regain its elevation and accessibility to the function room of the watchtower on the 4th floor.
It is one of the 100 Renaissance staircases with straight flights and decorated ceilings in France and is certainly the most interesting in Lorraine by the beauty and symbolic significance of its exceptional carved decoration. This gives access to the noble floor which reveals the concentration of decorative and emblematic effects on the 2nd landing.
