The beach of the Little Train ! In Cap Ferret, this ocean beach is considered the main beach of the village. A small steam train leaves from the Bélisaire pier on the Bassin side and drops its passengers off at the beach entrance several times a day. People come to have fun, but also to surf. Surfing schools offer courses and workshops.
Accessible by duckboards all year round, an emergency call station is on site. For people with reduced mobility, a tiralo is available in season.
Our beaches are fragile, the use of bicycles, one-wheels, fat-bikes, scooters, is authorized on the wet sand from 15/06 to 15/09 only, from sunrise to 11am. The use is forbidden on the whole dune and foot of the dune.
Wild camping, dogs (loose or on a leash), use of sound devices and instruments, use of fire are forbidden.
