Over 3 levels, in an original museological setting, 3,000 mineralogical and 500 petrographic samples take you on a journey to the origins of our planet. The collection brings together fossils and rocks of exceptional size and beauty from 5 continents. Unique in France, discover the Limousin's mining productions: gold, wolfram, uranium, kaolin. The Espace Jean Ventenat showcases a major collection of over 1,600 specimens.
In the same museum, the town hall pays tribute to Israëlis Bidermanas, who became Izis, one of the greatest photographers of the post-war period. Discover the work of the Paris Match reporter-photographer and the poet-photographer-friend of artists.
