In the dark hours of World War 2, Israelis Bidermanas - later Izis - took refuge in Ambazac. Discover one of the greatest post-war photographers through the reconstruction of his photo laboratory. In the same museum, discover an original museology, 3000 mineralogical samples and 500 petrographic samples that take you on a journey to the origins of our planet. This collection brings together fossils and rocks from 5 continents, of exceptional size and beauty. Unique in France, discover the mining productions of the Limousin region: gold, wolfram, uranium, kaolin. The Espace Jean Ventenat showcases a major collection of over 1,600 specimens.
