Description

Plunge into the history of one of the finest Renaissance châteaux in Quercy, and gaze out over the Lot valley from its terraces.

Cénevières castle was built by the Gourdon family in the 16th C. around a 13th C. keep in a position directly overlooking the Lot. Around its elegant inner court, this residence contains some luxurious rooms, including one in which there is a remarkable ceiling below which runs a frieze decorated with scenes of Istanbul; and an unusual alchemist's room.
